What is the Best Time of Day to Take Ivermectin?
Ivermectin can be taken at any time of day, however if you are taking high doses it is better to spread the dosage out over meals during the day. You can take the medicine during meals or just after. For most adults, up to 40mg can be tolerated in a single dose, but above that some people may experience some visual disturbances i.e. bright patches in vision or slightly blurred vision so it’s better to spread the doses out throughout the day to minimize this effect.
What is the Best Way to Absorb Ivermectin?
Ivermectin is best absorbed with foods that are high in fat. We recommend avocado, nuts, health oils i.e. coconut oil, real olive oil (lots of olive oil is fake and/or rancid and not healthy – especially if it’s in a clear bottle as light affects olive oil), olives, coconut, tahini, seeds, dark chocolate, eggs. If you eat meat that can also assist with absorption.
What Are the Side Effects of Taking Ivermectin at a High Dose?
At dosages of 1mg per kg of bodyweight or higher you may experience visual disturbances, e.g. bright patches of light in vision, and some blurriness at times throughout the day. This is normal and a trademark effect of Ivermectin. At 2mg per kg of bodyweight almost everyone suffers these effects. These visual issues fade over time as the body adjusts.
If you are heavily parasite infested you may suffer a herxheimer reaction during the first few days of medicating. This is because when parasites die off they become toxic to the body, and cause some inflammation as they pass. If a lot die off at once, it will cause a shock to your body and you may experience diarrhea, nausea, headaches, lack of energy, or even vomiting in serious cases.
If you have cancer you definitely have a serious parasite problem. Parasites are always present in and around tumors, 100% of the time.
Can I Take Ivermectin with Other Medications Safely?
Ivermectin is a very safe drug, and does not interact with any other medications. You can safely take it with any other medicines.
